Faith Circle ladies traveled to De Leon Springs State Park to visit the Old Sugar Mill Pancake House where, “you are the Chef”. We flipped our own pancakes on the griddle on our table, while adding toppings to the pancakes and laughing together in this historic restaurant. After breakfast, we walked around the park enjoying the scenery and watching for wildlife. We watched an alligator swimming in the springs; he seemed to be watching us, too! We decided to check out Blue Springs State Park on our way home to see the manatees. We saw a couple but concluded the water was still too warm to see more of them. From pancakes to moments in nature, this outing was a reminder of how good it is to enjoy the simple blessings in life!
A big "Thank You" to everyone who contributed to our back-to-school food drive benefiting Killarney Elementary School. Your generosity has filled hearts and pantries alike, and your kindness is a true reflection of Christ’s love in action in our community.

What is the Gospel of Jesus Christ?
A Christian is someone who believes the good news of Jesus Christ. When we believe the good news we are put on a path away from unhealthy relationships and are put on a new path towards healing and wholeness. Becoming a Christian means we understand God's love for us. We also acknowledge that sin pervades us and our world. Sin is what destroys relationships between ourselves, God, our neighbor or our world. Yet God’s love has overcome sin. It was through God’s love that Christ came into our world to show us the love of God and the path towards life. We are called to live into a new creation that is possible for all in Jesus Christ and open ourselves to the Kingdom of God in our world. Our purpose in life is to work in the world towards peace, justice, freedom, and human fulfillment, caring for God's creation and proclaiming the good news in word and deed.
